Phase 2 of its citywide roll out of new 95 gallon green recycling carts with a blue lid started July 6. See the projected cart delivery schedule below. Once a new 95 gallon green recycling cart with a blue lid has been delivered to your address, your recycling collection pickup location will now be now the same as where the city picks up your trash.

Curbside Recycling

NEW CHANGES coming to city residents starting in January 2015. Visit Richmond Recycles for more information.

*Curbside Recycling is available to anyone living in a single family detached homes accessible from a city street. Collection is every other week *at the curb and not in the *alley. There is a small fee for recycling that appears on the water bill. The Department of Public Works provides *24 gallon recycling bins to eligible residents wanting to recycle at the curb.  If you would like to sign up for this program, please visit the CVWMA homepage or contact the Recycling Hotline at 804-340-0900.

Drop Off Recycling Collection Sites

The City maintains four Drop-off Recycling Collection sites that allow residents to bring cardboard, mixed paper, aluminum and steel cans, #1 and #2 narrow neck plastic bottles, and glass bottles and  jars for recycling.

No speciality recyclables collected at these sites.
