Public Input Solicited for Regional Solid Waste Management Plan Amendments
Closure Plans Springfield Road Landfill
The Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) requests input from all interested parties as to the development of an amendment to the regional Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP). The public will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed amendment to the Plan at 9:00 a.m. September 18, 2015 at the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) Board of Directors meeting. The meeting will be held in the large conference room at 2104 West Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227. The proposed SWMP amendment will define closure plans for the Springfield Road Landfill located at 10600 Fords Country Lane, Glen Allen 23060 (in the County of Henrico).
All interested parties are encouraged to review the 2014-2034 Central Virginia Solid Waste Management Plan. Copies are available at www.cvwma.com or the CVWMA office, 2100 West Laburnum Avenue, Suite, 105, Richmond, VA; at the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission office, 9211 Forest Hill Avenue, Suite 200, Richmond, VA 23235 and at the Crater Planning District Commission Office, 1964 Wakefield Avenue, Petersburg, VA 23805.
Citizens may also submit written comments prior to the public meeting but no later than September 18, 2015 to Mr. Richard Nolan, CVWMA, 2100 W. Laburnum Ave, Suite 105, Richmond, Virginia 23227; or by e-mail to rnnolan@cvwma.com . These comments will become part of the permanent record and be considered in the development of the amendment.
