Thanksgiving Holiday to Delay Some CVWMA Collections

RICHMOND — CVWMA collections normally scheduled for Thursday and Friday during Thanksgiving week will be delayed by one day.

 

Thursday collections will be on Friday.

 

Friday collections will be on Saturday.

 

CVWMA reminds all residents that food waste contaminates recycling. Please empty and rinse all food containers before recycling them.

 

Other tips for Thanksgiving waste:

 

    • Give guests easy access to recycling bins for bottles and cans.

 

    • Opt for reusable dishes, utensils and drinkware.

 

    • Cook only what you need, or make a plan for leftovers.
