Labor Day to Delay CVWMA Collections

RICHMOND, VA — Recycling and trash collections through the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority will be delayed the week of Labor Day 2026.

There will be no collections on Monday, Sept. 7. CVWMA offices will be closed.

All collections will be delayed by one day. Collections normally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 11, will occur on Saturday, Sept. 12.

The delay affects Blue Week recyclers in City of Richmond, Henrico County, Hanover County, City of Colonial Heights and City of Hopewell.

Trash collection in the Town of Ashland, City of Colonial Heights and City of Hopewell will also be on a one-day delay.
