Memorial Day to Delay CVWMA Collections

RICHMOND, VA — Recycling and trash collections through the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority will be delayed next week because of the Memorial Day holiday.

There will be no collections on Monday, May 26. CVWMA offices will be closed.

All collections will be delayed by one day. Collections normally scheduled for Friday, May 30, will occur on Saturday, May 31.

The delay affects Red Week recyclers in the City of Richmond, Henrico County, Hanover County, Goochland County, City of Petersburg, City of Hopewell and Town of Ashland.

The delay also affects trash collection in the Town of Ashland, City of Hopewell and City of Colonial Heights.
