Holidays to Delay CVWMA Collections By One Day

RICHMOND, VA — CVWMA recycling and trash collections will be delayed during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. There will be no collection on Monday, Dec. 25, or Monday, Jan. 1. Labor Day 2023 To Delay CVWMA Collections By One Day

RICHMOND, VA — All CVWMA collections next week will be delayed by one day because of the Labor Day holiday. There will be no collections on Monday, Sept. 4. Trash pickup in Ashland, Colonial Heights, Hopewell and Petersburg will move to the following day. Red Week recycling collections also will move to the following day. Central Virginia Recycled 57.9% of its Solid Waste in 2021

The residents and businesses of Central Virginia recycled 57.9% of their solid waste in 2021, according to data compiled by the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority. The regional recycling rate was the highest among the 17 agencies required to report on a yearly basis, according to the Virginia Annual Recycling Summary Report.
