The City of Richmond will host its E-Cycle Day Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1710 Robin Hood Road. The event is for City of Richmond residents only. Services available: document shredding (limit 5 boxes per resident), electronics recycling (some fees apply), household hazardous waste collection (pesticides, herbicides, oil-based paint). There will also be a giveaway of biodegradable leaf bags (10 per resident).

Hanover County will host a household hazardous waste collection and document shredding event at the Mechanicsville Convenience Center, 7427 Verdi Lane, on Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. until noon. Residents may bring up to 5 gallons of household hazardous waste for free disposal. This includes auto fluids, aerosols, household cleaners, oil-based paints, pesticides and herbicides.
