RICHMOND — The Thanksgiving holiday will delay some collections through the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority.

There will be no collections on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27.

Collections normally scheduled for Thursday will be Friday. Collections normally scheduled for Friday will be Saturday.

Recyclers are reminded to keep food waste out of recycling containers. CVWMA encourages the use of leftovers and composting of food scraps.
