!Virginia Fiesta!
Science Museum of Virginia 2500 W. Broad St., Richmond, VAFor the second year, ¡Virginia Fiesta! will be a day-long celebration of science and culture that will highlight the amazing contributions of the Hispanic community in Virginia. The day will include a community fair, vendors, food trucks, cultural performances, live demos, workshops and more.
Richmond E-Cycle Day
Corner of Arthur Ashe Blvd & Robin Hood Rd 1700 Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond, VAThe City of Richmond will host its E-Cycle Day Saturday, Sept. 30, at 1710 Robin Hood Road. The event is for City of Richmond residents only. Services available: document shredding (limit 5 boxes per resident), electronics recycling (some fees apply), household hazardous waste collection (pesticides, herbicides, oil-based paint). There will also be a giveaway of biodegradable leaf bags (10 per resident).
Student Event: Considering The Connection Between Our Clothes and Microplastic Pollution
Virginia Commonwealth University, Student Commons Theater 907 Floyd Ave, Richmond, VAStudents are invited to learn about the impact of clothing on the environment during this interactive program. Includes prizes and snacks.
First Saturday Electronics Recycling
Securis Richmond 8419 Glazebrook Ave., Henrico, VAElectronics recycler Securis hosts an e-cycling collection on the first Saturday of each month. The drive-through event is open to all residents of Central Virginia. Fees apply for some items.
