New Kent Clean County Committee will be hosting a special electronics recycling collection event in Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 11 am -2 pm. The event will be held at the New Kent Elementary School, 11705 New Kent Highway, New Kent, VA for New Kent residents only. Document shredding will also be available.

There will be a charge for the following electronic items: $10.00 each for small televisions/CRT monitors under 27 inches and $20.00 each for large televisions/CRT monitors over 27 inches. Note: Electronics recycling event from 11 am -2 pm (3 hours).

There are fees to recycle CRTs televisions and CRT monitors. CRTs require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain.

• $10 fee for CRT Items < 27” diagonal width
• $20 fee for CRT Items = or > 27” diagonal width

This event will  also include document shredding.  Gone 4 Good Shred will be the shredding vendors. The event times are from 11 am -3 pm (4 hours) for document shredding. Note: The times for this are different that the e-cycling.
