Henrico County Earth Day Festival

Henrico County's free, family-friendly Earth Day festival will feature live music and activities, including face painting, seed planting, inflatables and a sensory-friendly activity tent. Food trucks will have refreshments available for purchase. The festival, hosted by the Division of Recreation and Parks and Keep Henrico Beautiful, also will offer opportunities to learn about sustainability initiatives and resources available in Henrico, including energy efficiency, residential solar, electric vehicles, recycling and preserving green space, air quality and more. Tech For Troops will collect retired technology that will be refurbished to help veterans in need. A list of equipment that will be accepted is at https://techfortroops.org/donations/.

First Annual Earth Day Celebration (Charles City County)

Concerned Citizens of Charles City County is partnering with Charles City Elementary School for an Earth Day celebration Saturday, April 23, on school grounds. The event will begin with a litter cleanup at 10 a.m. Free lunch will be served at 12:30, followed by ecology programs for all ages (by University of Richmond students and faculty). There will also be music and pony rides.  

Think Green: Earth Day (Hopewell)

Hopewell Recreation and Parks will host event for all ages throughout Crystal Lake Park. There will be gardening activities, sensory play, crafts and outdoor games. The park’s paved trail will transform into a scavenger hunt, story-walk and more!
