Concerned Citizens of Charles City County is partnering with Charles City Elementary School for an Earth Day celebration Saturday, April 23, on school grounds. The event will begin with a litter cleanup at 10 a.m. Free lunch will be served at 12:30, followed by ecology programs for all ages (by University of Richmond students and faculty). Hopewell Recreation and Parks will host event for all ages throughout Crystal Lake Park. There will be gardening activities, sensory play, crafts and outdoor games. The park’s paved trail will transform into a scavenger hunt, story-walk and more! Event is free but registration is required.
