The fall Prince George County Clean Community Day will be held on Oct. 3, 2026, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

This is for Prince George County residents to get rid of household hazardous waste, tires and certain unwanted items without charge. This is a drive-through event hosted by the county and the Prince George Extension Office. Residents only – no businesses permitted at either location.

Location 1:

Police Parking Lot
6600 Courthouse Road

Household Hazardous Waste (bring in original containers)

• Oil-based paint
• Paint thinners
• Solvents
• Pesticides
• Brake fluid
• Floor Cleaner
• Fuels (gasoline, kerosene)
• Household cleaners
• Chemistry sets/photographic chemicals
• NO latex paint, radioactive materials, explosives or shock-sensitive materials

Paper Shredding

• Paper clips and staples OK
• No cardboard, boxes, binders or computer equipment

Tires

• Car and light duty truck tires only – NO tractor trailer, farm tractor, heavy equipment, industrial, logging or constructions tires
• No rims accepted

Mattresses/Box Springs

• Limit four per vehicle.
• Resident is responsible for off-loading into dumpster.

Electronics

• TVs, computers, monitors, terminals, etc.

Prince George Convenience Center
3100 Union Branch Road

No charge for these materials on Oct. 3, 2026, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.:

• Normal household trash
• Appliances, air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, etc.
• Yard debris
• Household furniture
• Electronics
• Mattresses/box springs
