Public Input Solicited for Regional Solid Waste Management Plan Amendment
The Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) requests input from all interested parties on an amendment to the regional Solid Waste Management Plan (SWMP). The public will have the opportunity to comment on the proposed amendment to the Plan at 9:00 a.m. May 17, 2024, at the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) Board of Directors meeting. The meeting will be held in the large conference room at 2104 West Laburnum Avenue, Suite 105, Richmond, VA 23227. The proposed SWMP amendment will remove the remaining permitted airspace capacity from the SWMP for Tri Cities Regional Landfill located at 333-B Industrial Drive, Petersburg, VA 23803 (in the City of Petersburg).
All interested parties are encouraged to review the 2019-2039 Central Virginia Solid Waste Management Plan. Copies available online at https://cvwma.com/about-us/solid-waste-management-plan/ or at the CVWMA office, 2100 West Laburnum Avenue, Suite, 105, Richmond, VA 23227.
