The City provides the following programs:

Leaf Removal Services.

  • Bagged leaves will be collected year round. The limit per collection is not to exceed the capacity of a 1/2 ton pickup truck. The 30 bags, each weighing no more than 50 pounds is included as part of the 1/2 ton pickup truck.

Curbside Recycling

The City provides residents with curbside recycling service every other week on BLUE FRIDAYs through CVWMA. TFC Recycling is the contactor.

Recycle More with CVWMA! CVWMA accepts aluminum and steel cans, glass bottles and jars, mixed paper and cardboard as well as plastic bottles, tubs,  and containers with a #1-#7 on bottom, plastics lids and caps (rinsed and attached back on bottle or carton), and cartons such as milk, juice and egg substitutes are recyclable in our residential recycling (curbside) and drop-off recycling programs in our participating member localities.

NOT ACCEPTED: Plastic bags, Styrofoam, or food contaminated pizza boxes will NOT BE accepted for recycling. Recycle plastic bags at local retail stores.

Accepted items can be recycled through our residential recycling and our Recycling Center (drop-off recycling program).

The City provides each resident with a 95-gallon green recycling cart. To obtain a second cart, please visit www.cvwma.com or call the Recycling Hotline at 804-340-0900.  (Additional recycling carts are $65 each). Recycling Perks is a program offered by the City’s recycling service provider (TFC Recycling) that allows residents to earn points for recycling. The points can be redeemed in discounts and coupons at local retailers and restaurants. To register for this program, visit www.recyclingperks.com

Drop Off Recycling Collection Sites

Residents not eligible for curbside recycling are provided Drop-off Recycling containers at the Recycling Center, 2701 Conduit Rd., (804) 479-7056. Residents can recycle the same items accepted at the curb. Recycle More with CVWMA!

The City operates a Recycling Center, located at 2701 Conduit Road. Valid proof of city residency is required to dispose of materials at the Recycling Center. Curbside recycling is offered to City residents. Small businesses and apartment complexes that do not have curbside services can bring their recyclables to drop-off container located at the center.

Solid Waste Collection Sites

The City operates a Recycling Center, located at 2701 Conduit Road. 804-479-7056. Valid proof of city residency is required to dispose of materials at the Recycling Center.
