The springtime Prince George County Clean Community Day is held for Prince George County residents to recycle household hazardous waste, tires and certain unwanted items without charge. This event is hosted by the county and the Prince George Extension Office. Residents only – no businesses.

This is event is at two locations:

Police Parking Lot
6600 Courthouse Road

Household Hazardous Waste (bring in original containers)

• Oil-based paint
• Paint thinners
• Solvents
• Pesticides
• Brake fluid
• Floor Cleaner
• Fuels (gasoline, kerosene)
• Household cleaners
• Chemistry sets/photographic chemicals
• NO latex paint, radioactive materials, explosives or shock-sensitive materials

Paper Shredding

• Paper clips and staples OK
• No cardboard, boxes, binders or computer equipment

Tires

• Car and light duty truck tires only – NO tractor trailer, farm tractor, heavy equipment, industrial, logging or constructions tires
• No rims accepted

Mattresses/Box Springs

• Limit four per vehicle.
• Resident is responsible for off-loading into dumpster.

Electronics

• TVs, computers, monitors, terminals, etc.

Prince George Convenience Center

No charge for these materials on April 25, 2026, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.:

• Normal Household Trash
• Appliances, Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Freezers, etc.
• Yard Debris
• Household Furniture
• Electronics
• Mattresses/Box Springs
