Celebrate “Earth Day 2017” by participating in recycling collection events sponsored by Powhatan Anti-Litter Council on Saturday, April 22 from 8 am – 12 noon at the Powhatan Fairgrounds Building, 4042 Anderson Highway ( please use the 2nd entrance on Brauer Road off Route 60). In addition, Document shredding will be available at the Powhatan Earth Day Celebration, Thursday, April 20 from 4-7 pm at the Powhatan Courthouse Green only. For more information, call the Powhatan Extension Office at 598-5640.

There is a $10 fee for the disposal CRTs (TV, monitors)- that is $10 for each TV and $10 fee for each monitor. CRTs require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain.
