The New Kent Extension Office will be holding the Envirothon/Earth Day on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 9:oo am until 2:00 pm.  It will be on the grounds outside the New Kent – Virginia Cooperative Extension Office, which is located at 11809 New Kent Highway, New Kent, VA 23124.  This is a day of activities designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment for people of all ages.   This event will take place rain or shine. If we have bad weather, we have an indoor contingency plan.

In addition, County staff is offering New Kent residents the opportunity to recycle unwanted

• Electronics (This e-cycling event is not through a CVWMA contract;  is a contract with New Kent County and Goodwill (No TVs, all items are considered a donation. Check with County staff for more information),
• Goodwill donations (household items and clothing)
