Henrico Extension Office, Keep Henrico Beautiful, and the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority are pleased to offer “Don’t Make Your Leaves Leave Home” Composting Workshop on Saturday, October 12 from 9 am until 12 noon at the Henrico County Human Services Building, 8600 Dixon Powers Drive.

Fall leaf season will soon be here and many homeowners may find that they have more leaves than they know what to do with. This workshop will demonstrate how leaves are actually a valuable resource and how composting takes advantage of nature’s process of decomposition to recycle the nutrients contained in leaves and other organic “waste” materials into a rich soil conditioner!
