To celebrate America Recycles Day, the Goochland Anti-Litter and Recycling Council is hosting a special recycling collection event that will include tires, document shredding and latex or oil paint for Goochland County  residents.

The event will be held on Saturday, November 18, from 9 am- 1 pm at the Old Goochland Fairground Property , 2744 Fairground Road, Goochland, VA 23063 (intersection of Sandy Hook Road and Fairground Road).

Limit of tires 10- tire limit per person and participants must show proof of Goochland residency. Tires large than those of an average sized pick-up truck will not be accepted.

Up to five bankers boxes ( no larger than 12″ x 24″ per person. Paper clips and staples are acceptable but plastic binding must be removed.

Bring latex or oil paint to be recycled by Yuck Old Paint. Each paint container costs$5 to be recycled. Paint is distributed and reused in humanitarian construction projects, theatre groups, and licensed contractors.
