Goochland County will offer residents a special tire amnesty and paper shredding event on Dec. 3, 2022, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Old Fairground property (intersection of Fairground and Sandy Hook roads).

Up to 10 tires will be collected per resident. Tires larger than those on a standard size pickup truck will not be accepted.

Residents may bring up to five bankers boxes per person for shredding. Paper clips and staples do not have to be removed, but plastic bindings must be removed.

Proof of residency is required.
