The Goochland Anti-Litter and Recycling Council (GARC) will be holding their annual Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 9:00 am-1:00 pm at the former County Fairgrounds Property (2744 Fairground Road). Normally, residents are charged a fee for tires brought to the local convenience center,but those fees will be waived for this one special collection.

There will be a 10-tire limit per person and participants must show proof of Goochland County residency. Tires larger than those on an average sized pick-up truck will not be accepted.

Document shredding will also be conducted at this event. There is a limit of 10 banker’s boxes per person. Staples and paper clips do not need to be removed.
