Goochland County Anti-Litter and Recycling Council is hosting a special recycling event on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from 9 am- 1 pm at the Old Fairground Property (intersection of Sandy Hook and Fairground Road). This event will include Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection and document shredding.

• Household Hazardous Waste accepted items include:  fluorescent tubes and bulbs (CFLs); solvents; degreasers, and cleaners; flammable liquids; pesticides and herbicides; aerosols; art and hobby supplies; photographic chemicals; pool and spa chemicals, thermometers and other mercury containing devices.  (Limited disposal quantities available).
• Secure document shredding is available for up to five banker boxes ( no larger than 12″ x 24″) per person. Paper clips and staples are accepted, but plastic bindings must be removed.
