Staff with the City of Richmond’s Department of Public Works and the Clean City Commission are spearheading a Community Clean Up Day in the 8th District with Councilwoman Reva M. Trammell on Saturday, June 7 , Old Oakgrove ES, 2200 Ingram Avenue, from 9 am- 12 noon.

Take pride in your community and come out and help with the cleanup.In addition, please stop by and visit the educational exhibits to learn about litter, recycling, and stormwater. Check out the TFC recycling truck too!

Activities include:

• Litter cleanup
• Stormdrain stenciling
• Document Shredding
• Curbside Recycling (free green recycling bins given to the first 100 participants)
• TFC truck- check out the truck that picks up your recycling at the curb!
• Waste sort and recycling survey by VCU students (any District 8 resident that takes the short survey will be entered into the drawing for ONE $25 VISA giftcard. The giftcard Winner will be selected on Sat, June 7, at 12 noon)
