Members of Girl Scout Troop 5391 are the newest recipients of the CVWMA Recycling Steward patch! In order to earn the patch, youths must complete a project that teaches the values of reducing, reusing and recycling. Central Virginia Recycled 57.9% of its Solid Waste in 2021

The residents and businesses of Central Virginia recycled 57.9% of their solid waste in 2021, according to data compiled by the Central Virginia Waste Management Authority. The regional recycling rate was the highest among the 17 agencies required to report on a yearly basis, according to the Virginia Annual Recycling Summary Report.
