DESCRIPTION:Henrico County Solid Waste Division hosting a special electronics recycling event on Saturday\, October 5\, 2019 from 10 am- 1 pm \, 1400 Best Plaza Drive ( E. Parham Road- 1 block east of I-95) ( old Best Products location). In addition\, Henrico Police are hosting document shredding at this event. \nDO NOT use plastic bags to bring electronics or personal documents to this event. \n\n \n\nDocument Shredding Limitations \n2 boxes ( 10″ x 13″ x 18″) full or 3 paper bags full. No plastic bags! Personal documents only. Download event flier here. \nElectronics Recycling \nThere is a fee for the disposal of CRT items (TVS and Monitors). CRTs require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain. \n\n$23 fee for CRT Items < 27” diagonal width\n$30 fee for CRT Items 27″ or larger > 27” diagonal width\n\nPayable by cash or check.

SUMMARY:City of Hopewell Fall Citywide Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Keep Hopewell Beautiful in partnership with the Hopewell Public Works Department has scheduled Fall Citywide Cleanup from Saturday\, October 19\, to Saturday\, October 26\, 2019. \n\n \n\nHours of operation during “Fall Clean-Up” at the Citizen Convenience Center are 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday\, and both Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Citizens are encouraged to participate in this effort by cleaning around their homes and along their streets.  During this week\, Hopewell residents may dispose of trash at no charge at the Citizen Convenience Center located at 507 Station Street\, behind Fire Station #1. There will be the usual $10.00 fee for the removal of freon to dispose of appliances. \n  \nThe following items will not be accepted at the Citizen Convenience Center:  concrete\, masonry\, garbage (items normally disposed of in your trash toter)\, paint of any kind\, batteries\, automobile motors\, and hazardous waste materials.  Tires are limited to four (4) per citizen\, and they must be separated from the rim.  There can be no more than eight (8) tires per household. \n  \nFirestone Tire located in the Cavalier Square Shopping Center is partnering with the City and will also accept up to four (4) tires per person and batteries (no limit) during Fall Clean-Up Week. \nRemember\, “Fall Clean-Up” activities apply to Hopewell residents only. \nHelp make your neighborhood and city clean.
