America Recycles Day

  America Recycles Day on Nov. 15 is a day to recognize recycling’s impact on the environment, our communities and the economy. The Central Virginia region consistently recycles more than half of its waste. In 2022, the regional recycling rate was 57.7%, well above the state requirement of 25%.
