2010 Curbside Recycling Schedule

The 2010 Collection Schedule will be mailed beginning December 28th to the 245,000 eligible customers in the CVWMA curbside recycling program.  It should arrive in customers' mailboxes by January 16th, so let us know if you haven't received yours by then.  January 2010 is included on your 2009 Collection Schedule to help you during the transition from 2009 to 2010.

For help understanding when your collection will occur in 2010, please follow the steps below:

STEP 1:  Locate the Mailing Panel

Your collection day is printed on the annual collection schedule that is mailed to you each January.  Find the panel shown at the right on your collection schedule.

STEP 2:   Locate the "Collection Schedule is:____  ____ " info above your address.

This information has been highlighted in yellow on the sample panel to the right. The frequency of your collection is indicated by the color word (red, blue or green) and the day of collection by the day of the week.

Step 3:  Flip to the other side.  Your recyclables will be collected on weekdays that are highlighted by your color.

Red (R) and Blue(B) collections occur every other week, as shown by the colored bars on the calendar panels of the schedule pictured at the right.

Green collections occur every week.  Weekly customers receive a different version of the schedule where every week is marked by green bars.  Weekly collection is only available in Ashland and Colonial Heights.

Example:  "Collection Schedule is:  Blue Wednesday" means that upcoming collections will occur on the Wednesdays that are in the blue weeks.  These include January 6th and 20th, February 3rd and 17th, and so on throughout the year as shown on the calendar.

Note: Corrected shading for May 2010.
