Hanover Residents can Recycle Latex Paint on April 29! (Click link to download full Press Release).
Richmond, VA- Is your basement, garage, closet or storage space collecting cans of old paint that you want to get ride of? Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) and Hanover County are proud to offer residents a new unique way to get rid of paint waste and to keep it out of landfills.
Bring you cans of paint to the Special Recycling Event on Saturday, April 29 at the Mechanicsville Solid Waste Center (east side) from 10 am to 2 pm for recycling.
DO NOT mix paint together. In order for paint to be properly reused and recycled, the contents need to match the label on the outside. There will be a $5 charge per container ( cash, check or charge accepted) regardless of the container size.
This new, unique recycling opportunity is provide as a pilot by CVWMA, Hanover County, and Yuck Old Paint LLC. Paint that is usable is distributed to reuse channels, including humanitarian construction projects, theatre groups and licensed contractors.
