    * at Hanover County sites  Hanover County offers many programs that are available through a cooperative agreement to Ashland residents.  Some of these are part of the CVWMA offerings; others are available directly through the County.   Visit the Hanover Department of Public Works website to view additional information.

    Beaverdam Rd. (Rt. 715)

    Site features a drop-off recycling center for cans, bottles, paper, etc.

    Other items collected include:  tires, appliances, propane tanks, cell phones, oil, antifreeze, oil filters, paints and other materials, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries.

     

    Doswell Solid Waste Convenience Center

    Doswell Rd.   (Rt. 688) 

    Site features a drop-off recycling center for cans, bottles, paper, etc.

    Items collected include:  tires, appliances, propane tanks, cell phones, oil, antifreeze, oil filters, paints and other materials, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries.

     

    Elmont Solid Waste Convenience Center

    Lewistown Rd.  (Rt. 783)

    Site features a drop-off recycling center for cans, bottles, paper, etc.

    Items collected include:  tires, appliances, propane tanks, cell phones, oil, antifreeze, oil filters, paints and other materials, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries.

     

    Mechanicsville Solid Waste Convenience Center

    Verdi Ln. (Rt. 710) 

    Site features a drop-off recycling center for cans, bottles, paper, etc.
