The success of the wide variety of CVWMA programs ensures that together our communities will continue to achieve and surpass the 25% minimum.

A review of procedures led DEQ to exclude certain materials from the recycling rate in 2002.   Because construction and demolition (C&D) debris and land clearance waste are not typically part of the municipal solid waste stream in Central Virginia, these items have not been incorporated into 2002 and 2003 calculations.
