    Event in Charles City County

    Charles City County hosting Household Hazardous Waste Day for its residents on Saturday, April 22 from 8 am until 12 noon at the Charles City County Landfill.


    Event in Colonial Heights

    As part of Earth Month, Adopt a Roadway Spring Cleanup Day will be held on Saturday, April 29 from 8 am -12 noon.

    In addition Celebrate Children’s Day/Book Day  “Dia de los Ninos ” on Saturday, April 29 from 1-4 pm at the Colonial Heights Public Library. Fun and interactive stations throughout the afternoon. Download event flyer here.

    Keep Hopewell Beautiful in partnership with the Hopewell Public Works Department has scheduled Spring Citywide Clean-up from Saturday, April 15 to Saturday, April 22. Citizens are encouraged to participate in this effort by cleaning around their homes and along their streets. Download 2017 Spring Clean-up flyer here. Help make your neighborhood and city clean and beautiful. Hopewell residents can register cleanup events on the Keep Hopewell Beautiful Facebook page. Take pictures of the event and upload.

    Envirothon- Earth Day 2017, Saturday, April 22 from 9 am -2 pm at the New Kent County Office of Virginia Cooperative Extension, beside the 1930 School. A day of Earth friendly activities for all ages. For more information call (804)966-9645.

    • On behalf of the Powhatan Earth Day Committee, we would like to invite you to participate in the 2016 Powhatan County Earth Day Celebration. Earth Day in Powhatan County will be celebrated on the actual Earth Day this year – Thursday, April 20 – from 4-7 pm on the Courthouse Lawn. Event will feature community agencies that promote environmental awareness and practices, or produce environmental friendly, non-toxic products and services. Document shredding will be included too.
