  Beginning 7/1/2010 Chesterfield County is charging eligible residents a $25 annual fee to support curbside recycling.

(* Call the Recycling Hotline at 340-0900 for a bin. For additional bins, the Chesterfield Waste and Recovery Department sells a 24 gallon bin for $12.78 each at its Southern Area Convenience Center, 6700 Landfill Drive, Chester, VA, from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday. Cash or check is method of payment. You may use an alternate container, 40 gallons or less, as a curbside recycling bin. Stickers can be mailed to you from CVWMA to identify the container for recycling upon request.)
 

 

  • County Solid Waste Collection Sites

           Effective 7/1/2010  the two convenience centers for household refuse disposal and recycling will operate

           under new schedule and a new gate fee. Click here for current Chesterfield information.

Northern Area Convenience Center

3200 Warbro Rd, Midlothian

Site features a drop-off recycling center for cans, bottles, paper, etc.

Other items collected include:  tires, appliances, propane tanks, cell phones, oil, antifreeze, oil filters, paints and other materials, rechargeable batteries, lead acid batteries
